This Connection Grant is administered by The Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council (SSHRC) to facilitate exchanges and engagement on research issues. support short-term, targeted knowledge mobilization initiatives like workshops, conferences, and outreach activities in the social sciences and humanities.
Worlding Feminist Economics Symposium:
Political Art, ROSCAs and the Law
The project Worlding Feminist Economics Symposium was ranked in the first sextile, the highest ranking, with full funding. This project bolsters the work of the DISE Collective, and advances the validity of informal and cooperative institutions. The gathering of scholars, activists and artists will examine the use of ROSCAs and address criminalization, stigmatization, and misinformation across Canada, US, Denmark, The Gambia, Iran, Europe and the Caribbean.
This symposium will be the first international event about ROSCAs held at the University of Toronto this Spring.
