Dr. Caroline Hossein Awarded a Canada Research Chair

On November 16th Dr. Caroline Hossein was awarded a tier 2 Canada Research Chair for her work in Africana Development and Feminist Political Economy. The Canadian government’s investment in Dr. Hossein’s work, will serve to advance how international development is perceived and researched in the future.

Couched in the design principles of an international collective, and drawing on the lived experiences of co-operators in the African diaspora and their informal institutional principles of mutuality and reciprocity, a radical paradigm shift in mainstream political economy can be achieved.

This event was celebrated and launched by Director Dr. Beth Coleman at the Black Research Network’s Speaker Series, on Wednesday November 16th, 2022.
