Dr. Caroline Shenaz Hossein will speak at Birkbeck University London for Black Women's Solidarity Economies Combating Racism and Sexism: Why Organizing Matters More Than Ever.

Radical Black feminist co-operators, known as the Banker Ladies, run Rotating Savings and Credit Associations (ROSCAs) to combat erasure and exclusion. This form of mutual aid, rooted in equity, collectivity, and self-help, can revolutionize international development. Empirical research highlights the erasure, citational blindness, and harms faced by feminist scholars conducting anti-capitalist research.
