This symposium was about building synergies across country contexts and deepen connections between community leaders, academics and creatives.

Vex Money by Nimah Muwakil Zakuri was inspiring and located this concept to the Caribbean and Trinidad and Tobago, about how women set aside funds to build and to secure themselves. Vex Money is an example of ancestral business skills.

US mutual aid and solidarity economy leader Jamye Wooten of Cllctivly is pointing out the abundance already-existing inside of African American and immigrant communities.
