DISE Members honoured in India
Earlier this year Kerala University’s Department of Economics in India honoured some of our members, who have contributed the Department of Economics mission.
The DISE Collective is pleased to report that three members, and one friend of The Collective were amongst those listed on the plaque.
The Department of Economics at Kerala University specializes in applied economics and development issues with a vision and mission of providing a value-based quality education. DISE Collective members Michelle Stack, Sharon Austin, and Caroline Hossein, along with friend of The Collective Beverley Mullings, have helped to advance research and awareness into these subjects, while also meeting the department’s high standards of teaching rigour.
A value-based quality education is defined as one that focuses on integrating moral, ethical, and academic values into the learning process, aiming to cultivate, not just skilled professionals, but ethical leaders who can navigate complex moral landscapes.
Dr. Caroline Shenaz Hossein met with fellow DISE Collective co-founder, Dr. Christabell PJ, and visited the plaque while in Kerala, India for work at the university, as well as at the nearby Centre for Development Studies.
