A Federal Grant Offers a Formal and Powerful Message
The DISE Collective is pleased to announce the funding by Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council (SSHRC) Connection Grant.
The project Worlding Feminist Economics Symposium was ranked in the first sextile, the highest ranking, with full funding. This project bolsters the work of the DISE Collective, and advances the validity of informal and cooperative institutions. The gathering of scholars, activists and artists will examine the use of ROSCAs and address criminalization, stigmatization, and misinformation across Canada, US, Denmark, The Gambia, Iran, Europe and the Caribbean.
This symposium will be the first international event about ROSCAs held at the University of Toronto this Spring.

The Connection Grant is designed to support events and outreach activities geared toward short-term, targeted knowledge mobilization initiatives. These events and activities represent opportunities to exchange knowledge and engage with participants on research issues they value.
